Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Sunday’s trading session mixed amid local and non-Arab buying against Arab selling.
By 10:30 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index slipped 85.06 points, or 0.52%, to 16,388.8 points.
The EGX70 index edged up 0.36% to 898.04 points, while the EGX100 index dipped 0.35% to 2,235 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.15% to 2,774 points.
Trading volume stood at around 92.2 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 153.08 million through 3,100 transactions.
Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 15.4 million, while non-Arab and Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 1.6 million and EGP 13.8 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) fell 1.39% to EGP 84 at a turnover of EGP 910,000.
