Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Sunday up on the back of foreign buying.
By 10:16 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index gained 0.93% or 141.42 points to 15,312 points.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 2.59% to EGP 80.5 at a turnover of EGP 21.14 million.
The EGX70 index added 0.68% to 852.72 points, while the EGX100 index edged up 0.53% to 2,027 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.54% to 2,725 points.
Meanwhile, trading volume reached about 9.2 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 57 million through 1,500 transactions.
Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 9.4 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 8.6 million and EGP 732,800 respectively.
