CIB’s board approves acquisition of bank in Kenya

Cairo – Mubasher: The board of Commercial International Bank - Egypt has given its primary approval to the acquisition of a bank operating in Kenya.

CIB will seek the required regulatory approvals from authorities in Egypt and Kenya, according to a bourse statement released on Tuesday.

The EGX-listed bank posted a 21.6% year-on-year profit increase during the first nine months of 2019, registering EGP 8.537 billion.
