CNBC celebrates studio launch at Nasdaq Dubai

Dubai – Mubasher: CNBC International President and managing director KC Sullivan on Wednesday rang the market-opening bell at Nasdaq Dubai to celebrate the launch of the network’s new studio at the exchange.

“CNBC broadcasts key interviews from the studio as well as insights on the Middle East financial markets and economy to a global audience. Business leaders interviewed since broadcasting began last week include DAMAC chairman Hussain Sajwani and Careem’s CEO and co-founder Mudassir Sheikha,” a joint statement by CNBC and Nasdaq Dubai revealed.

CNBC’s studio is located MarketSite on Nasdaq Dubai’s premises within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

“Our new home at Nasdaq Dubai is already playing an important role in delivering a deeper focus on the Middle East business story to our global audience. We aim to further enhance our editorial presence across the region,” Sullivan said.

Meanwhile, DIFC governor Essa Kazim described that the CNBC International studio as a “valuable addition” to the emirate of Dubai’s media and communications landscape as it underscores the DIFC’s commitment to bolstering and developing the region’s role as an international financial hub.

“CNBC’s arrival makes an important contribution to Dubai’s role as a communications gateway between the Middle East and other regions of the world. The media plays a vital part in promoting accurate understanding and informed decision-making,” concluded Nasdaq Dubai chairman Abdul Wahed Al Fahim.
