Mubasher: Twelve new patients in Kuwait have tested positive for the new coronavirus (COVID-19) within the past 24 hours, taking the total count to 142 infections in the country until the moment, according to an official statement by the health ministry on Wednesday.
The newly detected cases include eight patients who arrived from the UK and another two who were in contact with previously confirmed cases.
The remaining cases are a Kuwaiti national who returned from Switzerland and another pending investigation.
According to the statement, 15 cases have recovered and 127 are still receiving treatment, while 573 individuals were discharged from the quarantine.
