Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian Co for Metro Management and Operation will team up with Egypt's leading e-payment solutions Fawry to sell its tickets and monthly passes through Fawry’s branches across the country.
This step aims at alleviating crowd at tickets’ outlets, reducing direct communication with employees, facilitating service for citizens, especially after the recent hike in tickets’ prices, a source at the company told Almal News.
Egyptian Co had previously allocated 24 outlets for conducting the monthly passes to ease the service for commuters.
The transport ministry had to raise the price of Cairo Metro’s tickets to a range between EGP 3 to EGP 7 based on the number of stops as of Friday, 11 May.
