Cairo – Mubasher: Cairo Oil Refining Company has generated EGP 3 billion in fiscal year 2019/2020, recording a 14% year-on-year (YoY) increase, the company’s Head, Hesham Abdel Hamid, said.
The total volume of refined crude oil at Mostorod and Tanta refineries reached 7.3 million tonnes, he added in a statement released by the Ministry of Petroleum on Tuesday.
The oil refining resulted in 9 million tonnes of petroleum products that cover part of the local needs of 80- and 92-octane gasoline, naphtha, liquefied petroleum gas, diesel, mazut, kerosene, and aromatic solvents, in addition to 3.6 million tonnes of mazut for the Egyptian Refining Company (ERC).
This came during the general meeting chaired by the Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El-Molla, to approve the company’s financial results for FY19/20.
