Cairo – Mubasher: Cairo Oil Refining Company (CORC) aims to refine more than 8 million tonnes at Mostorod and Tanta refineries, the company’s chairman Gaber Hassan said.
A total of 7 million tonnes will be refined at Mostorod refinery, while 1.2 million tonnes will be refined at Tanta refinery for the Egyptian Refining Company (ERC), Hassan added in a statement released by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources on Sunday.
CORC plans to continue its manufacturing operations for sister companies and other companies at a value of EGP 156 million.
The company has supplied the ERC with 1.4 million tonnes of heavy fuel oil (mazut) during the first half of fiscal year 2019/2020, as part of plans to provide the company with about 4.2 million tonnes of mazut during FY19/20.
