Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange initiated Wednesday’s trading session on a higher note.
The benchmark EGX30 edged up 0.6%, or 41.3 points, to the mark of 6,973.2 points by 10:20am Cairo time.
Likewise, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 moved up by 1.3% to 349.8 points and the broader index EGX100 inched up 0.96% to 740.7 points.
CIB, the largest EGX30 constituent, went up by 0.35% to EGP 40.02 by 10:19am Cairo time.
Trading value reached EGP 47.5 million after 24.9 million shares were traded.
Nationals were net buyers by EGP 13.7 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers by EGP 7.4 million and EGP 6.3 million.
