Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange opened Wednesday’s trading session on a lower note.
At 10:45am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 rose 0.38% to 7,538 points amid Arab purchasing pressure.
CIB, OTMT, EHG-Hermes, Talaat Moustafa Group, and Pioneers saw a decline ranging from 1% to 1.9%.
The equal-weighted index EGX50 edged down 0.10% to 1,422 points. Likewise, the broader index EGX100 fell by inched down 0.07% to 796.8 points. Meanwhile, the small and-cap stayed at 370 points.
Trading value reached EGP96 million after 32 million shares were traded over 4,000 transactions.
Arab investors were net sellers by EGP10.3 million, while nationals and foreign investors were net buyers by EGP7.2 million and EGP3.1 million respectively.
Earlier, analysts expected EGX indices to maintain a steady performance on Wednesday, pointing out that EGX stocks likely to just open the session on a lower note.
