Cairo bourse opens higher on foreign purchases

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange initiated Monday’s trading session on a positive note, backed by the purchases of foreign investors.  

At 11:10am Cairo time, the benchmark added 27.3 points, or 0.36%, to reach 7,548 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 edged up 0.03% to 366.9 points. The broader index EGX100 rose 0.11% to 790.7 points.

CIB, EGX largest constituents, opened up by 1% to EGP38.8 per share with turnover of EGP61.4 million.

Foreign investors were net buyers by EGP15.4 million, while national and Arab investors were net sellers by EGP11.4 million and EGP3.9 million respectively.
