Cairo to host OAPEC meeting Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt will host on Thursday the meeting of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC).

Petroleum Minister Tarek al-Molla said that the meeting contributes to exchanging views and presenting the market's developments and their impacts on oil industry, according to a press release.

He added that the meeting will tackle joint cooperation projects in oil field, adding that the agenda will include approving the budget proposal of OAPEC's general secretariat and judicial tribunal.

OAPEC includes Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Iraq, Qatar, Algeria, Bahrain, Syria and Libya.

Oil prices exceeded its highest levels in 17 months on Wednesday, while OPEC producers showing commitment towards production cut agreement.
