Careem, DCT Abu Dhabi ink MoU to boost tourist experience

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Middle East ride-hailing company Careem on Sunday announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).

The deal aims at enhancing the tourist experience in the UAE’s capital and biggest sheikhdom on multiple fronts, according to the company’s statement.

The agreement was inked by Saif Saeed Ghobash, undersecretary at DCT Abu Dhabi and the managing director of Careem GCC, Bassel Al Nahlaoui.

“This agreement between our two organisations is in line with our desire to constantly improve the visitor experience at all touch points across the emirate,” Ghobash commented.

Under the deal, Careem will work on providing the state-of-the-art services for Abu Dhabi’s residents and visitors.

Moreover, it will improve customer journeys from Abu Dhabi International Airport, enhance water taxi solutions to drive customers to various islands in Abu Dhabi, and promote key strategic events in the emirate, in addition to mapping various data points to better understand commuter behavior and create solutions to commuter problems.

“Enhancing transportation provision and efficiency, as well as using Careem to cross-promote events across the emirate, means our guests can concentrate more on enjoying the culture and heritage of Abu Dhabi,” Ghobash added.
