UAE - Mubasher: Carrefour has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emirates Bio Farm, the UAE's largest private organic farm, to be provided with 450 tonnes of the farm's organic products per year.
Under the MoU, Carrefour, operated by Majid Al Futtaim in the UAE, will annually take more than 70 organic fruit and vegetable items from Emirates Bio Farm, according to a press release on Tuesday.
The agreement reflects Majid Al Futtaim's commitment to empower local farmers and support sustainable agriculture in the UAE.
The Country Manager of Carrefour UAE at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, Phillippe Peguilhan, said: "We know today’s consumers are highly conscious of choosing fresh and healthy produce, having witnessed strong demand for our selection of fresh local produce."
