Mubasher: The UAE’s “cash at banks” and “currency in circulation outside banks” reached its highest level since 2013, according to a report released by the UAE Central Bank for June.
Currency issued, which is composed of cash at banks and currency in circulation outside banks, reached AED 81.3 billion in June, a rise of 6.1% from AED 76.6 billion by the end of May
Currency in circulation outside banks grew by 2.2% or AED 1.4 billion to AED 64.4 billion in June, compared to AED 63 billion in May.
The UAE banks' required reserves rose by 1.2% to AED 118.5 billion in June, compared to AED 117.1 billion in May.
