Cairo – Mubasher: Centamin plc on Thursday reported a 25% year-on-year decline in gold production from its Egypt flagship Sukari mine during the third quarter of 2018.
The mine’s production of the precious metal amounted to 117,700 ounces in the three-month period ended September, versus 156,500 ounces in the year-ago period, the gold mining company added in a statement.
Quarter-on-quarter, gold production rose 27%, from 92,800 ounces Q2-18.
The Sukari mine’s revenues plummeted to $125.12 million in Q3-18, versus $193.09 million in the same quarter last year.
