Doha – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Qatar (CBQ) announced on Thursday the results of treasury bills subscriptions in December, noting that Qatari banks shied away from subscription to keep liquidity for 2015 full-year dividends.
Treasury bills subscriptions were 25% covered, as the total allocation reached QAR 1 billion out of QAR 4 million were due to be issued in the last month of 2015.
Banks submitted bids worth just QAR 2 billion, only 50% of the required amount, and the number declined to QAR one billion after the allotment, according to Alsharq newspaper.
