China OKs importing sugar beet from Egypt

Cairo – Mubasher: China decided to allow sugar beet imports from Egypt, the Chinese General Administration of Customs said.

The fodder harvest imported to China must be treated in certified Egyptian plants registered in Beijing, Reuters reported.

In October, China had lifted a yearslong ban on Indian turnip as the government seeks to diversify animal fodder amid its trade war with the US.
