Riyadh – Mubasher: Chinese President Xi Jinping will start on 19 January a visit to Saudi Arabia, during which he will meet King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced today that Xi will be visiting Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran from January 19-23, on the invitations of the heads of the three countries.
As one of the major oil importers China wants to increase its diplomatic heft in the oil-rich region.
