China's oil imports rise 8.8% in 2015

Mubasher: China's total crude oil imports in 2015 rose 8.8% from the previous year to 335.5 million tonnes, China's General Administration of Customs said Tuesday.

December's oil imports increased by 9.3% to 33.2 million tonnes compared with the same month a year ago.

Oil prices declines to less than $30 a barrel from $115 in June 2014 on crude oversupply and forecasts about weak demand.

The state's economic growth reached 6.9% in 2015, the lowest annual growth rate in 25 years, falling behind its target of 7%.
