Chinese oil imports up to 9m bpd

Mubasher: China’s oil imports increased last month, to maintain its position as the biggest crude importer in the world.

The data of China Customs showed that average Chinese crude oil imports rose in September to 9 million barrels per day (bpd).

Chinese imports averaged nearly 8.5 million barrels of crude oil per day, for the first nine months of 2017.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) previously said that China owns crude inventories of nearly 850 million barrels, due to its excessive buying since the drop of oil prices globally in 2015.
