Riyadh-Mubasher: City Cement Co. has started commercial operations at its Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) unit on Monday, which will reduce production costs by nearly SAR 2 per tonne, the cement producer said in a statement to Tadawul.
The facility, which will operate with 14.2 megawatt per hour, will rationalise fuel consumption and reduce CO2 emissions.
The financial impact of this technology will be reflected on the financials of 2016 and next years, the company said.
