Cairo – Mubasher: Co-operation Petroleum Company (Copetrole) has sold 6.5 million tonnes of petroleum products during fiscal year 2019/2020, the Chairman of the company, Adel Ayyad, announced on Monday.
Ayyad remarked that around 5.6 million tonnes of gasoline, diesel, and mazut were sold through the company's 1,165 stations across Egypt, according to the statement of the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources on Monday.
The company's share of oil amounted to 18%, while its market share in the bunkering of ships and sales of chemical products is 56%.
This announcement came during the ordinary general meetings (OGMs) of Copetrole and Misr Petroleum Co, led by the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El-Molla.
The meetings were also attended by the Minister of Local Development, Mahmoud Shaarawy.
