Coronavirus toll in Kuwait up at 188 infections

Mubasher: Kuwait’s Center For Government Communication (CGC) on Sunday confirmed that 12 new patients have tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours, according to an official statement.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 patients in Kuwait now stands at 188.     

Currently, five cases are in intensive care, while 30 have fully recovered, according to a statement by the Kuwaiti Minister of Health, Basel Al Sabah, earlier today.

It is noteworthy that Kuwait announced further measures to contain the spread of the novel disease to include extending the suspension of work in all ministries and state agencies for an additional two weeks and imposing a partial curfew across the country effective starting Sunday, from 5:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. Kuwait local time, until further notice.
