Cairo - Mubasher: On Tuesday, the Egyptian Administrative Court will look into the lawsuit calling for cancelling the elections of the Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) board of directors, which are set to take place on 22 June.
Sources told Mubasher that the lawsuit was filed by Mostafa Gamal El-Din Wahdan, to stop the elections, and cancel all the decisions regarding the call for the elections, as he was expelled from running.
Filing candidacies for the exchange’s board of directors began on Sunday 28 May, according to the The chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), Mohamed Omran.
It is worth noting that the term of the currently serving board will end by the end of next month.
In May, the Egyptian minister of investment and international cooperation, Sahar Nasr, issued a decision regarding the rules and procedures for electing the new board of the Egyptian stock exchange by the capital market firms and listed companies.
