Credit Agricole Egypt profits hike 44% in 2017

Cairo – Mubasher: Credit Agricole Egypt on Thursday reported a 44.4% year-on-year rise in consolidated profits for 2017 due to a growth in interest revenues.

Net profit amounted to EGP 1.95 billion in 2017, versus EGP 1.35 billion in 2016, the bank said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

Interest revenues increased to EGP 4.7 billion last year from EGP 3.34 billion a year earlier.

Standalone profits stood at EGP 1.95 billion last year, up from EGP 1.36 billion in 2016.
