Dubai – Mubasher: DAMAC Properties has denied what was mentioned in media regarding being in pole position to buy Italy’s Roberto Cavalli Group, according to a statement to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) on Sunday.
Moreover, the Dubai-based property developer confirmed it has not given such a statement to the media.
Last Thursday, sources told Reuters that DAMAC was in pole position to acquire the Italian fashion group.
Roberto Cavalli Group previously announced that it had received five offers for the brand.
Earlier this month, Italian-based MF Fashion reported that Roberto Cavalli said it was considering DAMAC and the Italian fashion group OTB as the final candidates to acquire the group.
