Dubai - Mubasher: DAMAC Properties on Tuesday announced the initiation of over AED 350 million additional construction works at its residential community development, AKOYA Oxygen.
“DAMAC continues to initiate major construction projects at AKOYA Oxygen to accelerate development to ready its 55-million square-foot green development in Dubailand to welcome its first residents as early as possible,” said Mohammed Tahaineh, senior vice president of commercial at DAMAC Properties.
DAMAC Properties chose Towers Technology Contracting as a contractor to carry out main works for 448 villas at AKOYA Oxygen.
Additionally, DAMAC assigned building the roads and infrastructure network linking various clusters in phase 6 within the community to Nael Construction and Contracting, the UAE-based company added in a statement.
“With the help of our esteemed contractors and partners who have worked with us for many developments, we are confident with the progress being made,” the top official added.
AKOYA Oxygen represents a calm sanctuary with green areas and beautiful landscapes, and comprises family-friendly community and energy-efficient homes, according to the statement.
AKOYA Oxygen will comprise “contemporary residential properties of various sizes surrounding an 18-hole championship golf course,” as well as many facilities, including mosques, clinics, schools, nurseries and post offices, DAMAC revealed.
