Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s minister of petroleum Tarek El-Molla on Wednesday announced that Germany’s DEA Group will finish setting up the second phase of the West Delta gas fields in Giza and Fayoum by the end of 2018.
The fields of Taurus and Libra, which were in the first phase of the project, started producing in May, El-Molla said.
The project was a collaboration between DEA, BP, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), and the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), he added.
The announcement was made during a meeting between the minister and a DEA delegation led by the CEO of the company Thomas Rappuhn.
