Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Masdar on the implementation of the third phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum solar park.
Under the MoU, a Masdar-led consortium that includes Spanish companies Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) and Gransolar Group will carry out the 800-megawatt (MW) park, according to a statement.
The solar project will be operational by 2020, DEWA said, adding the park will produce 5,000MW by 2030 with a total investment of AED 50 billion ($13.61 billion).
