Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) on Thursday announced signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU), with TÜV Rheinland AG company, a Greman leading provider of technical, consultation services, and quality assurance in the energy sector.

The new deal aims at establishing a framework that will enhance cooperation and knowledge exchange between both parties, Dubai’s state-run utility said in a statement.

It also targets achieving shared objectives in various areas like energy, training, research and development (R&D), regulations, environmental protection and business support.

The step comes along with DEWA’s efforts in exploration and investments in the world’s energy sector.

The deal was signed by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director & CEO of DEWA and Michael Fübi, chairman of the Executive Board of Management of TÜV Rheinland AG.
