UAE – Mubasher: The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched the second phase of the Inclusion of People of Determination (POD) Innovation Incubator initiative for the inclusion of POD by DEWA’s subsidiaries.
The initiative will support knowledge transfer and customisation for the region, creating awareness, and capacity-building to make Dubai a city of the future, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported on Friday.
"DEWA is committed to transfer its experiences and knowledge to its partners and stakeholders to achieve the UAE Vision 2021 which strives to preserve a cohesive society proud of its identity and sense of belonging,” DEWA’s CEO Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer said.
The second phase of DEWA’s initiative, which was launched in November 2019, includes a programme on training, knowledge management, and benchmarking visits.
"DEWA won the People-of-Determination-Friendly Government Entity award at the 21st Dubai Government Excellence Programme. DEWA also received the MVO8000 in CSR, becoming the first government organisation in Dubai to receive this international certification," chairman of DEWA’s Advisory Council for POD, Yousef Al Akraf, commented.
The Inclusion POD Innovation Incubator includes programmes such as motivating leadership, training, knowledge management, benchmarking visits and successful stories, along with orientation sessions on public and private efforts regarding POD.
