DEWA launches AED 79m projects

Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is working to raise the efficiency of its electricity transmission network, at a capacity of 400 kilovolts (kV), using the advanced technology, according to a statement.

Located in Jebel Ali, the 400 kV series reactor, in addition to other projects, was completed and inaugurated with total investments of AED 79 million. “This will be operational in 2018”, Saeed Mohammad Al Tayer, managing director and CEO of Dewa, said.

“In 2015, there were a total of 20 substations, spanning over 1,120 kilometres,” Al Tayer noted.
