DEWA tenders Phase V of Mohammed bin Rashid Solar Park

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has reportedly invited contenders for the fifth phase of the fife-gigawatt Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.

The tender is aimed at adding 900 megawatts (MW) to the production capacity of the major energy project.

The fifth phase will be operational in the second quarter of 2021, according to PV Magazine website.

Only two phases of Dubai-based solar park have entered service, with capacities of 13 and 200 MWs, respectively.

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park is planned to generate 1,000 MWs by 2020 and 5,000 MWs by 2030.
