Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) began constructing new power stations to generate electricity in the Hessian area and Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, at a value of AED 10 billion, according to Emirates news agency (WAM).
The DEWA plans to build 97 major transmission stations with a voltage of 13,211 KV during the coming three months, WAM added.
Earlier in January, the authority established a major station, aiming to raise the efficiency and independence of the high voltage (132 KV) electric power transmission network.
In 2016, the DEWA launched a strategic project to contribute to the diversification of energy resources and developing the Hatta area.
