UAE – Mubasher: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) on Saturday unveiled plans to build AED 2.2 billion five new 400 kilovolts (kV) substations within three years.
The new project is a part of DEWA’s strategy to increase the efficiency of electricity services to support its facilities and future objectives, the Emirates News Agency reported.
"We work to raise the capacity and efficiency of electricity grids, by developing world-class infrastructure to contribute to the sustainable development of the emirate," CEO of DEWA Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer said.
The Emirates Water and Electricity Company announced that Noor Abu Dhabi, the 1,177 megawatts single solar project, had started commercial operation.
