Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) edged higher in Wednesday’s early trades, backed by three sectors topped by the banks and investment.
The DFMGI added 0.14% or 5.13 points to reach 3,725.12 points by 11:00am UAE time.
The banks sector was the best performer with a 1.13% rise after Emirates Islamic Bank (EIB) gained 14.9%.
The investment sector increased 0.5% as Dubai Investments levelled up 0.4%. The telecom sector also advanced 0.17% as du went up 0.17%.
On the other hand, the transportation sector fell 1.04% after Aramex slid 1.5%. The real estate sector declined 0.17% as Deyaar Development and Arabtec Holding sank 1.2% and 0.7% respectively.
Turnover amounted to AED 593.25 million after trading 33.08 million shares through 3,356 transactions.
