Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Monday’s trading session in green territory, supported by the banks sector’s positive financial results for the full-year 2018.
The general index went up 31.30 points, or 1.23%, ending the session at 2,570.94 points.
The DFM’s trading volume reached 164.9 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 241.50 million through 3,600 transactions.
The consumer staples sector headed the bourse’s gainers adding 2.75% as DXB Entertainment rose 3.17%, while the investments sector levelled up 1.56% on the back of Dubai Investments’ 2.31% increase.
Similarly, the real estate sector advanced 1.46% as Damac Properties and Emaar Properties grew 5.8% and 1.68%, respectively.
The banks sector went up 1.42% as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) and Emirates NBD advanced 2.52% and 0.74%, respectively.
