Dubai-Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) resumed its gains on Wednesday in line with the recovery of oil prices and the rise of leading stocks, according to an analyst.
The benchmark index went up 0.58% or 20.36 points, closing at 3,546.52 points.
The insurance sector led winners after going 2.5% up as Takaful Emarat rose14.8%.
The real estate sector levelled up 1.23%, with Emaar gaining 1.74, Drake and Scull International (DSI) 1.4% and Arabtec Holding 1.3%.
The transportation sector came in third with a 0.6% gain on the back of Aramex which added 1.7%, while the banking sector went up 0.18% as Emirates NBD recovered 1.4%.
On the other hand, the investment sector led decliners with a 0.16% fall, pushed down by Dubai Investments which lost 0.46%.
Trading volume increased on Wednesday to 345.29 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 553.71 million ($150.78 million), compared to 282.04 million shares traded on Tuesday at AED 414.67 million ($112.91 million).
