Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a positive performance on Monday, backed by the rise of real estate and banks stocks.
The main index rose 0.79% or 28.72 points to reach 3,660.48 points.
The real estate sector grew 1.26% as Emaar, Emaar Malls Group (EMG), Arabtec Holding, Drake and Scull International (DSI), and Deyaar Development went up 2.17%, 1.26%, 1.02%, 0.80%, and 0.20%, respectively.
The banks sector rose 0.02% as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) and Amlak Finance gained 0.79% and 0.93%, respectively.
The market saw trading of 141.6 million shares through 2,619 transactions, with a turnover of AED 248.7 million.
Gulf General Investment Co. was the most active stock with a trading volume of 25.88 million shares, while Emaar was the value leader after generating AED 83.7 million.
