Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market has resumed its upward performance after gaining 0.13% or 6.43 points to close Sunday's trading session at 2,059.08 points.
A total of 253.15 million shares had been traded through 3,449 transactions at a total value of AED 218.02 million.
The market cap value increased by AED 880 million to AED 293.57 million, compared to AED 292.69 million during the previous session.
The consumer staples segment led the risers with 1.55%, while the banks sector came on top of the decliners with 0.02%.
Arabtec Holding headed the rising stocks with 11.84%, while Takaful Emarat – Insurance topped the losing stocks with 4.11%.
Islamic Arab Insurance Company (Salama) posted the highest trading volume of 50.80 million shares, while Gulfa Mineral Water and Processing Industries recorded the highest turnover of AED 45.69 million.
Damac Properties led the rising blue chips with 6.10%, while Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) topped the losing blue chips with 0.53%.
