DFM closes Sunday up; ADX down

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have ended Sunday's session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up 0.12% to close Sunday's session at 2,636.4 points.

A total of 167.95 million shares were traded through 3,184 transactions valued at AED 281.37 million.

Takaful Emarat – Insurance Co led the rising stocks with 10.2%, while Emirates Refreshments came on top of the losing stocks with 9.88%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched down 0.12% to settle at 6,124.08 points by the end of Sunday's trading session.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.5 billion after 186.09 billion shares had exchanged through 2,059 transactions.

Sharjah Insurance Co (SICO) led the red zone with 9.74%, while Ras Al Khaimah Co. for White Cement and Construction Materials topped the green zone with 9.33%.
