Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) general index gained 6.11 points, or 0.2%, to close at 2,821 points on Thursday.
The consumer staples sector grew 1.65% after DXB Entertainments increased by 1.85% to AED 0.331.
The banks sector rose 0.5%, as Emirates NBD added 0.93%, while the real estate sector gained 0.14% after Drake and Scull International (DSI) grew 3.3% to AED 0.753.
On the other hand, the telecommunication sector and its only stock, du, lost 0.41% each.
The transportation sector shed 0.38%, as Gulf Navigation declined and the investment sector inched down 0.04%, pressured by DFM Company.
The DFM’s trading volume reached 356.93 million shares, while the market’s trading value hit AED 357.15 million.
