DFM closes Tuesday down; ADX up

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have ended Tuesday's trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.31% to close Tuesday's session at 3,349.56 points.

A total of 127.78 million shares were traded through 4,382 transactions valued at AED 283.46 million.

Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Co (Aman) led the rising stocks with 1%, while Takaful Emarat – Insurance Co topped the losing stocks with 10%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched up 0.72% to settle at 9,631.79 points by the end of Tuesday's session.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.67 billion after 271.19 million shares had been exchanged through 9,164 transactions.

Commercial Bank International (CBI) came on top of the green zone with 7.1%, while National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) led the red zone with 8%.
