Dubai-Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a positive performance in Thursday’s early trades, driven by selective purchases of some blue chips.
The general index advanced 0.44% or 15.82 points to reach 3,572.44 points.
The investment sector went up 0.76% as Dubai Investments gained 1.4%. Likewise, the real estate sector advanced 0.63% after Arabtec Holding and Emaar Properties climbed 1.3% and 0.5% respectively.
On the flipside, the transportation sector fell 0.3% due to a decline in Aramex by 2.8%.
Positive speculations on blue chips led the market to rise in Thursday’s session, according to capital market analyst Abdullah Al-Ali.
The market is expected to maintain its rise on Sunday, Al-Ali said, adding that small traders should not increase their positions in stocks.
