Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) witnessed a bearish performance, weighed by Mashreq Bank and Dubai Islamic Bank’s (DIB) losses which overshadowed the rise of Emirates NBD and Arabtec Holding.
The DFMGI fell 0.28% or 7.42 points to close at 2,677.5 points.
Turnover decreased to AED 393.4 million ($107.12 million) on Monday, compared to AED 457.65 million ($124.6 million) on Sunday.
The transportation sector led losers after declining 2.74%, while the banks and real estate sectors decreased 0.48% and 0.08%, respectively.
On the stock-level, Mashreq and DIB retreated 4.35% and 0.96% in a row, while Emirates NBD and Arabtec rose 0.93% and 1.92%, respectively.
