DFM continues losses in mid-session

Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw losses in Sunday’s mid-session, weighed by the selling pressures on leading stocks.

The UAE markets are expected to continue its speculative trend amid heavy trading activity on banks sector’s stocks after the Federal Reserve raised the interest rate, analysts earlier told Mubasher.

The real estate sector fell 2.8% as Arabtec Holding and Emaar Properties retreated 5.13% and 2.09%, respectively.

The banks sector went down 2.3% after Dubai Islamic Bank and Emirates NBD decreased 1% and 4.2% in a row.

The investment sector levelled down 2.12% as DFM Company and Dubai Investments slid 4.3% and 1.4%, respectively.

The telecom sector lost 0.2% as du inched down 0.2%.

Meanwhile, the industrial sector remained unchanged.

Turnover reached AED 119.83 million after 100.83 million shares were traded through 1,940 transactions.
