DFM continues upward trend on Arabtec

Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended in the green for the third successive on Tuesday, backed by Arabtec Holding despite the decline of Emaar and Dubai Islamic Bank.

The general index recovered 1.48% or 46 points to reach 3,147 points.

Turnover reached AED 592 million ($161.2 million) on Tuesday, compared to AED 275.11 million ($74.88 million) on Monday. Trading volume stood at 557 million shares, compared to 224.86 million shares.

The investment sector levelled up 3.66% as Dubai Investments and DFM Company grew 3.05% and 6.03%, respectively.

The real estate sector increased 1.77% after Arabtec went up 14.15%. Meanwhile, Emaar fell 1.53%.

The telecom sector advanced 1.2% after du rose 1.2% to AED 5.06.

The banks sector inched up 0.37% as Emirates NBD grew 3.14%.

On the flipside, the industrial sector remained unchanged.
