Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) suffered losses in Thursday’s early trades, in line with the decline of the banks and investment sectors.
The main index went down 0.26% or 10.37 points to reach 3,668.44 points by 10:10am UAE time.
The banks sector led losers after decreasing 1.44%, weighed down by the fall of Mashreq Bank and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) by 10% and 0.9% respectively.
The investment sector sank 0.77% as Dubai Investments tumbled 0.8%.
On the flipside, the real estate sector rose 0.20% as Arabtec Holding and Emaar Properties advanced 0.7% and 0.13% respectively.
The market saw trading of 69.81 million shares through 1,015 transactions, with a turnover of AED 148.7 million.
