Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened lower on Tuesday, hit by the investment and real estate sectors.
The general index went down 0.6% or 20 points to reach 3,358.38 points by 10:35am UAE time.
The UAE stock markets are expected to see a slight profit-taking activity on Tuesday, after the decline of oil and global markets, technical analyst Salam Saeed said.
The investment sector lost 1.02% as DFM Company retreated 1.4%.
The real estate sector fell 0.8% after Emaar Properties and Arabtec Holding decreased 1.1% each.
The telecom sector slid 0.7%, bogged by du which edged 0.7% down.
The market saw trading of 145.8 million shares through 1,721 transactions, with turnover of AED 158.2 million.
